The Turn the Page initiative is a grassroots movement spearheaded by the Sabatia constituency MP aspirant to bridge the "literacy gap" by providing high-quality books to students in underserved areas where access to reading material is scarce. Recognizing that a lack of resources—rather than a lack of potential—frequently leads to academic setbacks for the youth of Sabatia, the aspirant has implemented a strategic cycle of curating age-appropriate STEM and diverse fiction, vetting them for "gift-worthy" quality, and distributing them directly to learners through local schools and community partnerships. By moving books from dusty shelves into the hands of eager students throughout the constituency, the project aims to transform reading from a school chore into a joyful habit, ultimately improving literacy rates and empowering the next generation of Sabatia leaders through the psychological pride of personal book ownership.
